The Lithology winemaking team brings together heritage, precision winemaking, and geological insight to craft a distinctive, small-lot offering each vintage.
The portfolio is anchored around single-vineyard wines, led by Cabernet Sauvignons from Beckstoffer’s renowned To Kalon, Las Piedras, and Dr. Crane vineyards. Above these vineyard-designate wines sits a special cuvée—Alejandro Bulgheroni Cabernet Sauvignon - crafted from the year’s most compelling barrels.
Two Napa Valley AVA wines round out the red portfolio, Lithology Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Lithology Napa Valley Cabernet Franc.
The white wine single-vineyard program began in 2020 with the Ritchie Vineyard Chardonnay and expanded to include Estate Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc from 2021.
As our wines are produced in very small quantities, we first grant allocations to Club Members. Our wines are then released to members of the Mailing List and visitors to the winery, on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Since 2014, we have had the honor of working continually with some of Napa Valley's most storied sites — To Kalon, Las Piedras, and Dr. Crane.
From time to time, we open the cellar. A selection of earlier releases, wines that have had time to settle into themselves, offered in small quantities to those who want to follow the study back.
