Cabernet Sauvignon

First produced in 2014, this Cabernet Sauvignon proudly stands as one of the three cornerstone wines in the Lithology portfolio. Lithology’s Napa Valley AVA Cabernet is assembled each vintage with fruit from among Lithology’s acclaimed single-vineyards, and other esteemed vineyards that could become single-vineyard expressions in time.

With the September heat wave of 2022, it was a race to harvest the fruit earlier in the month. The final composition is Cabernet Sauvignon (94%) and Cabernet Franc (6%), from Rutherford (49%), Oakville (33%), and St. Helena (18%).

Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and cassis meet violet, rose petal, tobacco, and graphite. The palate is full-bodied and pure, with cola notes and ripe, fine-grained tannins. The finish is long, with a lingering note of espresso.

Our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon provides us the opportunity to create a unique blend from some of the finest sites throughout the valley. The 2022 features 49% fruit from Rutherford, 33% from Oakville, and 18% from St. Helena with harvest spanning from September 3rd through October 6th.
