Celebrated for its extraordinary depth and exquisite character, our To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from one of the finest vineyards in the world. Vines grow slower in this iconic vineyard and provide a full canopy every year. Influenced by the cooler conditions and longer hang time, the harvest is usually around two weeks later than our other vineyards. Our 2022 To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon possesses an herbal profile with notes of sage and blueberry. Concentrated aromas lead to a subtle intensity on the palate.
Vineyard
To Kalon, an ancient Greek phrase meaning highest beauty is nestled at the base of the Mayacamas Mountains, situated on a gentle sloping alluvial fan. First planted in 1868 by Hamilton Crabb, it was acquired by Beckstoffer in 1993. Today it is arguably Napa Valley’s most iconic vineyard and is referenced for its world class quality.
Bale loam soils with ancient streambeds. With more topsoil and slightly cooler temperatures, Lithology allows for a longer hang time to achieve a wine profile that is beautifully opulent, with a rounder mouthfeel, plush palate, and broad tannins. A darker fruited expression with remarkable depth, complexity, and longevity.

Balancing grace and power, our 2022 To Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon possesses an herbal profile with notes of sage and blueberry. The concentrated aromas lead to a full-bodied palate, with layers of fruit, spice, and tobacco notes gracefully intertwined and framed in finely polished tannins.
