Cabernet Sauvignon

Crafted from premier Napa Valley vineyards, this Cabernet Sauvignon captures the essence of the region’s diverse terroir—from the structure of Oak Knoll and Howell Mountain to the soft tannins of Rutherford and Oakville, and the herbal notes of Coombsville. Harvested at lower sugar levels yet with ripe tannins, it was aged in carefully selected French oak barrels to achieve balance, complexity, and finesse.

The 2022 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is in an ideal drinking window now and will continue to evolve through 2030. Approachable and food-friendly, it pairs beautifully with gouda and cherished moments with friends and family.

Vineyard

Our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon provides us the opportunity to create a classic Napa Cabernet blended from some of the finest sites throughout the valley. The Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced primarily from the eastern edge of Rutherford, providing a core of dense, lush, mocha-laced dark fruit. In this vintage, for the first time, we acquired a touch of Howell Mountain Merlot from one of the highest vineyards in all of Napa Valley, adding vibrant energy and textural nuance. A touch of Cabernet Franc from Oakville adds a beguiling floral lift and notes of espresso.

Tasting Notes

A wine of pure complexity with layers of depth and concentration, our 2022 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has notes of cranberries, cola, and root beer, complemented by mineral characteristics and firm tannins. A weightless component in the midpalate leads to a nice, long finish. Decant for a few hours to open aromatically. This Cabernet Sauvignon will continue to age beautifully through 2045.
